It was quite a strange set up, that I've not really ever experienced before. You arrive at a building down a single lane MOD track in the middle of the woods, you put a code in the front door to get in, and then you find a key in the lock for your room. I didn't meet anyone for my whole stay. It's perfect if you don't like speaking to people. I loved it.
Hurstbourne enjoys a location in Camberley, 7.2 miles from LaplandUK and 12 miles from Thorpe Park. This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, private check-in and check-out, and free Wifi....

The Hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful! Hurstbourne was on a quiet street and neither too far from the Camberley Train Station nor the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Our travel plans changed after we had made the initial reservation and an additional family member was going to be joining us. Another room was made available with no fuss and a reasonable rate. Moreover, the rooms and en suite were well-appointed and quite comfortable. The light breakfast available each morning was fresh and had plenty of variety. We could not have asked for a better stay!
Styled like a French chateau, this historical manor is 1.5 miles from Ascot Racecourse. It has a relaxing spa with swimming pool and gym, and features an AA Rosette-rated restaurant.
I have grown up near Camberley. For me, it is a functional, not unpleasant town, that is well-located for access the M3, and certain attractions like Virginia Water, Saville Gardens, Legoland / Windsor Castle, Farnborough Air Show - and a big M+S + Tesco! Plus has nice facilities like Vue multiscreen cinema. The Military Academy's annual heritage day is worth a visit. Otherwise you can't get in there!
I don't think it is a tourist destination in and of itself, however.

If you like a real retro hotel experience this is the place to come to. It must have been the height of luxury in the 1980's. Great location geographically and we slept well but a makeover would we well worth the investment as the location next to the lake is superb. The hotel is clean and well run, and car parking excellent.
Weird layout with steps up to 1st Floor Reception and if you have heavy bags it is a real climb however to the right of the entrance porch there is a lift up to Floor 0. A bus load of ladies arrived when we did, and all lugged their heavy bags up these steps. I am disabled on an electric buggy so needed this lift.

Easy to access by motorway. Lovely area.
Accessible to supermarkets, drive through and a range of pubs and restaurants as well as being close enough to travel to Windsor.
We ate in a local pub ‘The Forresters’ and were able to get a nice coffee from the local Costa when the hotel wouldn’t serve one!!

I know Camberley well as my Mother used to live there. I was staying for 4 nights to swim & use the spa for treatments and visit friends and family close by. It is not a place I would choose to go on holiday!

Camberley itself seems very dull but it’s a great location for touring visiting friends and family In that area and therefore a great location and accessible for the area. So near the train station, less than five minutes walk so it’s ideal.
It's one of my favourite places to come for a little getaway. They really go the extra mile with the little touches. Staff are always amazing. Very friendly and accomadating. Facilities are excellent. Rooms are always clean and tidy. This is a hotel that really cares about its guests. Whether you book a cheaper room or a more expensive one, single single room is great value for money!
The reception staff were very friendly, and our needs were met at all times. The rooms were all nearby to one another, great views over the lake, and breakfast was good. Location was fine for our needs. Five minutes walk to a nice town square with some good pubs / restaurants on it. Lots of parking. Felt like the cost was fine for what we got.
Easy to find

It’s a leisurely hotel with plenty of space, restaurant and bar overlooking peaceful lake

The room was well equipped and had a lovely bathroom with shower / bath / toiletries and also some tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits in the room, etc.
Room was away from the restaurant area so, quiet.
The restaurant attached serves very nice food!
Excellent staff, excellent customer service - lady at reception, young man in the restaurant, lady at breakfast. Very nice spacious room with a view of trees and the front garden. Good food. Very characterful reception area, the fireplace and staircase.
Nice hotel set in beautiful grounds.
Very nice clean and comfortable rooms. Great comfy beds and pillows.
Good breakfast selection and child friendly. Nice swimming pool with well stocked changing rooms and complimentary towels.
Excellent bedroom room with ensuite wet room. Check in by key pad - so no contact with staff. Breakfast area well equipped with reasonable choice of continental breakfast. Bananas would have been nice, as would croissants
Host was amazing and the apartment was stunning in a great area! Very near Ascot (12 min drive) and parking was very near the accommodation! Will definitely rebook in the future and would recommend!
Very welcoming and friendly staff.
Breakfast was very tasty and it was lovely that the eggs came from their own hens.
Very clean and comfortable.
Would definitely visit again if in the area.
