Court Residence Aparthotel, hotel in Linlithgow

Court Residence Aparthotel offers suites in Linlithgow's historic town center. The property is only a 15-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport.

All staff, including the owners, were friendly and helpful. I walk w/ a cane & staff assisted me with luggage, showed me how to reach my suites without climbing stairs, and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was provided, with milk, eggs & butter in refrigerator, cereal (oatmeal & a selection of dry cereals), tea, coffee, fresh fruit, bread & jam in basket. (I had never seen Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal & enjoyed it so much I bought a box at the Tesco store in Aviemore for my one-week stay at my timeshare in Coylumbridge!) Location was perfect - in the heart of Linlithgow. I was awakened the first morning by noise outside my door (my studio suite opened onto a courtyard). Three men dressed in kilts were having boutonnieres pinned to their jackets by a woman. Later, leaving the Court Residence Aparthotel and turning right on the High Street, I took photos of the wedding party assembled for post-wedding photos on my way to lunch at the Four Marys' Pub (built in the 1500s & named after four ladies-in-waiting to Mary Queen of Scots) where a beer festival was in progress. Later, a block down the High Street in the opposite direction I shopped at a charity shop supporting cancer causes where I found a number of small gifts to take back to friends & my staff, new items and collectibles. Linlithgow had many sights worth seeing that I didn't have time to see.

Wester Muirhouse, hotel in Linlithgow

Offering garden views, Wester Muirhouse in Linlithgow provides accommodations, a garden, and a shared lounge.

Our host was amazing. She provided us with so much information and she was kind enough to let us check in early after our flight was cancelled. We found a wonderful supply of super ingredients for breakfast in the fridge. It was great to have so much space on our last day in Scotland. I would recommend this accommodation to everybody!! The beds were comfy and we had two bathrooms, a kitchen and two bedrooms. The location is brilliant and we loved being in the countryside away from the noise. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace!

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace! The streets in Linlithgow are walkable, so that's nice. Be aware whenever you are anywhere in Scotland on a Monday, restaurants and shops may be closed (I ran into this all over each Monday). Otherwise, Linlithgow is a quaint town with rich history. Go!

Enjoyed exploring this historic town. Visited the Palace and the museum and the canal basin during our short stay. Next time we would like to walk round the lake and explore the area more. There seemed to be lots of nice looking cafes, restaurants and pubs too.

It's such a pretty town with a wonderful palace with loch that has a great walk around it. Lots of birds to see. Great shops along the high street. Easy to get on train to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Unfortunately the magnificent Palace was closed for repairs but the loch, town and canal were as lovely as ever. I have previously stayed in Linlithgow and remember it well from my boyhood in Edinburgh. The glorious cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are quickly reached by train but Linlithgow is of course well worth visiting in its own right. You will soon find your own favourite cafes and restaurants and remember the unique sound of car tyres on cobbled streets! So get your morninng rolls and come here. Enjoy.

A great place to enjoy walking around and to follow the trails offered. The Palace and the Peel, the loch and the pavement cafes were our favourites. We had some take-away and also a meal in the Star and Garter but there was really so much choice of eating places it depended on how busy it was at certain times. Unfortunately, the Palace was undergoing some building work so was not open. It is worth walking up to see the Union Canal basin, all run by volunteers. It is a friendly and welcoming town.

Very well equipped and laid out shepherds hut considering it's dimensions which obviously limited what can be fitted within. Parking was in a spacious allocated location with the key lock-box right there. Location was superb. Very quiet and peaceful and yet not too far to walk into Linlithgow, or use the hourly bus service (F1) which stops right outside the driveway during the day time only. A regular bus runs from Linlithgow to Edinburgh which suited our needs very well.

Oh my goodness, we absolutely love this apartment! Everything you could possibly need or want was provided and it was situated in such a beautiful area too. The bus stop to Edinburgh is on the main road in front of the apartment complex and it’s also easy to get into nearby Linlithgow town. Everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, well maintained, warm and welcoming and felt just like a home from home. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The apartment location is excellent. Near to the train station and close to all amenities. We needed to use the sofa bed and Toni kindly set that up prior to our arrival. We were just in Linlithgow for a long weekend, but I would also stay in this property for a longer stay to explore and enjoy the surrounding area further. All in all the apartment fully met our expectations and was good value for money.

The hotel was 3 mins walk from Linlithgow railway station and close to the town centre. My room was on 2nd floor no lift. Breakfast was excellent but starts at 9am. Gregs over the road if early departure. The room was clean with tea and coffee provided. Nice view of the railway station. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again with ear plugs

Perfect location, child loved the closeness to the loch and park. Still being christmassy made the stay more festive. Was attending a wedding at The Vu which gave us a stressfree day having a home from home as everything we needed was there. It was also a good area for taxi service. Linlithgow is a beautiful area
