The hotel is floating on the water which is a unique concept. It results in beautiful views from the room. Everything was clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The sound isolation was incredibly good because we could not hear a sound from other rooms. Perfect central location in the beautiful small town of Västervik. Tasty food, kind staff. Warmbadhuset (spa) was perfect, and we had the whole place for ourselves.

Nice little town on the Swedish east coast with a charming old town atmosphere (Gamla Norr and Gamla Öster), an inviting archipelego and enough shops, bars and restaurants in the city or by the shore to satisfy most people. ABBA Björn’s Slottsholmen project has added an extra international Mamma Mia flair with its gourmet restaurant and boutique hotel suites, followed by a floating hotel and a new Spa come this Spring. Shared bathroom, key left in the door for you upon arrival, no reception to be found after 15 o'clock. But the experience, in these small fishermen cottages and area is just extraordinary! Highly recommend it for both couples and families. My children and I felt like we stepped straight into an Astrid Lindgren novel and I could see the romantic scene it was for the couples staying at the time. Book it and hope for good weather!
